There are many questions comes to your mind when you create or start the new blog or website
In this post, I share some tips which help to Improve your Alexa ranking rapidly.
What is Alexa and what is the Alexa Rank?
Alexa is a company (acquired by Amazon) that maintains data regarding websites, and it’s mostly know for it’s website rank information, called Alexa Rank. The Global Alexa Rank indicates how popular your site is around the world and the Local Alexa Rank shows popularity in the country that the domain has been registered in. Here you can find the Alexa Rank of your own site.
Does the Alexa Rank matter?
The Alexa Rank is a very important tool for marketers as it shows the advertising potential of a site. The lower the number, the more traffic that the site gets and thus the more people that ads can be served to. Domains with lower Alexa Rank are generally regarded as more valuable than domains with higher Alexa Rank. Having a low Alexa Score can increase the CPC that you get through your Ad network or even help you land nice native advertisers on your site. Therefore, lowering the Alexa Rank of your site could prove beneficial for your business.
Just what we’re saying since the beginning of our launch, SEO becomes content marketing these days, and with Alexa, it is no different. To get good ranking in SERP, you need quality content. To improve and sustain a good Alexa ranking, you need quality content. The logic is simple. Alexa is interested in traffic. If you will write good quality content, your blog will pull in new visitors and sustain the inflow of existing traffic. The more traffic your blog gets, the better your Alexa rank becomes. So, writing down quality content is very very important
Writing quality guest blogs helps you build a base of quality backlinks. If you write blogs on authentic websites that get visited by people, your Alexa rank will improve. Alexa also calculates the reputation of your blog by calculating how many quality backlinks you are receiving. You can also do comment on niche blogs and thereby generate new backlinks. Although these techniques help, if you write poor quality content on guest blogs, you can expect zero results. So, at the end, it is about writing quality content!
To improve your Alexa ranking, an important thing is to update your blog often. If you post once in a while, generating traffic is not viable. If you update regularly, your website is crawled regularly and you get a constant pool of traffic thereby generating better ranking at SERP and improving your Alexa ranking. If you are new to blogging, post regularly. If you are an established blogger, update your blog but maintaining a very strict schedule is not very important.
You install the widget on your blog from website. Just register your blog on Alexa and paste the code on your blog. An Alexa widget tells your visitors about the ranking, and it even tells you about traffic coming from Alexa. Some people doubt the authenticity of the tips, but if Alexa has made this facility available, there must be some reason.
Ok, so here are the simple steps to lower that Alexa Rank:
Install the dumb Alexa Toolbar on multiple browsers (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, etc).
Download your favorite VPN (I like VPNBook, TunnelBlick and SecurityKiss) and connect to it.
Go to PageReboot on every browser, put your site and set the refresh time every 60 seconds (or longer if you’re patient).
(Optional but recommended if you have the budget) Get your Alexa page certified by buying one of their plans.
For best results, do this at different times of the day and also change your IP Address every 10 or so minutes. A word of warning though: Don’t over do this, 3-4 times per week should good enough.
